Your best friend Lily loves to hike, and she always seems
to be telling you of her wild adventures running around in
some park or another. A few months before school
started, she was hiking on Bear Mountain in Connecticut,
which is part of the Appalachian Trail. She said it was
really cool because full blueberry bushes surrounded the
trail. She also saw lots of deer while hiking. She tells you
that the twin lakes near the mountain were refreshing to
swim in. She is trying to talk you into going next year and
shows you photos. In a photo of Lily on the mountain,
you notice a rash on her leg. It has a red center, a
blanched circular white area, and a red irregular circle
around it. You ask her about it and she says that she did
have a headache and muscle aches during the trip at the
same time that she had the rash, but it all went away.
